Winter 2024/25 Grounds Maintenance and Projects

Research shows that children perform better academically when they feel proud of their school, and the mission of the Grounds Committee is to ensure that the Irvington grounds are well-maintained and safe such that the students can thrive.

It takes a lot of work to maintain the Irvington School grounds, and many hands make light work. Please help us by volunteering to mow, edge, remove weeds, or any number of other projects that would benefit the school and community.

Weeds and clippings can be placed in the green waste bins which are stored near the community garden or the trash dumpsters (please don't put green waste in the regular trash cans). Update Dog Access Signage Campuswide
No off-leash dogs are allowed on campus, and no dogs are allowed on the sports fields. Existing signage is ineffective in communicating rules around dog access to campus. Working with the school administration, new signage needs to be installed around campus entrances, fields, and play areas. We will contact you with more information upon signing up.
